Can anyone drive an insured car in Spain?
In Spain it is the vehicle that is insured and not the person. Most motor insurances in Spain will cover the main driver and any driver over a certain age (+25 years old).
Most policies in Spain cover any driver as long as over 25 years old and with a clean driving license, so any member of your family can use the car without modifying the policy.
Who can drive my car in Spain?
You can drive a car in Spain if you’re aged 18 or above and have a valid driving license. Citizens from EU/EFTA countries can use a driving license from their own country.
Can a 16 year old insure a car?
We can insure any qualified 16-year olds on most scooters and most 18+ year olds in cars, even if they have only just passed their driving test in Spain.
Young drivers in Spain are those classified as between the ages of 16 and 25.
